MSN TV reports this news, and I’m not happy 😡. I never watched Lipstic Jungle, but I know I watch My Own Worst Enemy and I like it. Like me, many people are bummed and even enraged with this poor decision of NBC, one of them even called NBC = No Brainer Company, lol. Currently NBC has 9 out of 13 episodes planned of Enemy and is not going to order the rest. So it looks like we’ll never see the end of Edward/Henry saga. Also, MadTV on Fox is cancelled too, and ABC axed Dirty Sexy Money, Eli Stones, and Pushing Daisies (despite the protests and online petition).
But I assure you, fans of the shows won’t let their beloved shows get axed so easily. Just like Save The Mole campaign, people are making online petitions trying to save the tv shows. Even though I doubt how effective it will be (The Mole was cancelled despite the protests), but I signed the petition for My Own Worst Enemy. If you want to sign the petition for Enemy too, click here. For Lipstic Jungle, click here, and for Pushing Daisies, click here.
A little update: I read from somewhere (forgot the source) that Brooke Shields, the star of Lipstic Jungle, said that the show isn’t cancelled. Her producers confirmed the news to her, and are trying to figure out what caused the misunderstanding.
As I’ve analyzed before, it looks like TV networks only cares the rating of the show when the show is playing. The only care on how many “warm bodies” watch it, they don’t care if people actually record it on DVR because the time slot isn’t allowing people to watch it or it clashes with other tv shows. That doesn’t mean that people don’t watch the show, they watch it, just later. I really hope that TV networks take this into account, and they will figure out how to count the “rating” of recorded shows. Then they will see that they’ve made a huge mistake.
