Paper, paper and more papers! I have tons of papers to write this weekend, and probably next week. I have some reports to do on my job, take home exams, and term paper due next week. For the take home exam, I have to write an essay in response of some questions, which is the same as making a paper.

I know that I’m not a good writer (perhaps I never enjoy doing so), and this pile of papers to make is making me depressed. Just a few minutes ago, I forced myself to start writing my term paper, and I got stuck, and here I am, writing on my blog again. It’s been a while since I have to write paper – for a teacher (I don’t have problem writing report to my boss, as it doesn’t have to follow “rules”).

I have a vouge idea on what I want to write, but it’s still to broad that it jumbled up my brain. Even though, I just write everything in, I don’t think I can edit it into one coherent paper.  I feel like I wanna scream for help. Hmm, maybe I can call up my niece for ideas…and maybe she can help me out a little bit…

After searching for a week or so, I found a great deal on new monitor. It’s 21″ LCD ACER, not bad brand. And the price is less than $100. I’m so happy with this deal. The seller just got a new monitor so he wanted to get rid of the monitor fast. It’s on excellent condition, so I’m very satisfied.

My old monitor? Well, I just put it on the corner. I don’t really know what to do with it. I can sell it, but it’s not on great condition and I’m too lazy to put up ads. Anyway, it’s a CRT, I don’t think anyone wants it anymore. Maybe, if I have time, I’ll go to GoodWill and donate it.

I bought this PC set on December 2001 (I know it’s old), so far I don’t have any problem with it, except that the DVD drive got stuck most of the time. This PC works great, and I don’t wanna get a new one unless I really need it. But the monitor, it’s going to make me blind.

It started like a month ago, suddenly my monitor turned “yellow” for few seconds. I was shocked, but after it’s gone, it thought it was a glitch. Afterall, I was using a vacuum cleaner and I plugged it on the same power surge with my monitor.

And then a few days later, it turned yellow again, and this time it last few days. I set my monitor’s brightness and contrast, to adjust it, so it didn’t look so yellow. Once it turned back to normal, it almost gave me a headache because my monitor suddenly became so bright. At that time, I thought, I really need a new monitor, so I started searching on craigslist. I found a couple that I was interested in, but none of them put phone number on their ad, and I wasn’t in the mood to email a couple of people at once. So I thought I’d go email them tomorrow. But, since I was busy, I forgot.

So last night, my monitor acted up again, this time it turned purplish. Now, I really have to find a new monitor before it ruins my sight even more.

Even before I had this problem with my monitor, I’ve always wanted to get a new monitor, an LCD one. The one that I have right now is 17″ CRT, it’s so huge. I wanted to throw it away when I moved, but since there was some space on the u-haul, I took it with me.

I hope I can find a new monitor (by new I mean 2nd hand, if you know what I mean) by this weekend. I really need to get some papers done.

Just a quick side note:

I swear that the earth is getting warmer. It’s spring and it feels like summer already. Global Warming for the Lose!

Happy May 1st everyone!

Last time I talked about my first quiz, and last week I had my 2nd quiz. It didn’t turned out to be better than the first one. Actually it was worse than the first one. The teacher didn’t go over the quiz after it was done, but I know that I missed some of the problems.

The thing is, I don’t buy the textbook. Textbooks are just expensive, even for used and older edition. And once I’m finished with the course, I’ll have trouble selling it again because 1)It’s old edition so the bookstore won’t buy it back. 2)I have to sell it online, and I don’t really like it. 3)There are tons out there waiting to be sold too.

So yeah, I don’t have any textbook for any of my classes. I’m not hoping to be a straight A student anyway, I’ll be happy with all B’s. Tomorrow I’m going to have a midterm. It’s pretty nerve-racking because I haven’t had to memorize a lot of things at once. Good thing that tomorrow I get a day off, so I can spend my afternoon studying.

Outside school, job is okay I guess. But I was kinda hoping for raise. When my boss hired me, she said that I’d get a raise after working a month or two. Now, it’s been more than two months, and still no raise, but Friday is payday, so we’ll see.
