It looks like there won’t be any The Mole season anytime soon. Maybe in a few years, when abc runs out of idea, they might decide to make The Mole US season 6 (just like they decided to make The Mole season 5). But until then, we can only watch The Mole DVD. For Mole-lovers out there, who want to see some Mole action but don’t have the DVD, you can watch it at Youtube. There’s Molejunkie who supplies season 1 to 3 of The Mole. I’m very grateful to you Molejunkie for feeding my Mole Craving! Go visit his youtube video page, he has 8 pages of The Mole!
Anyway, on other news, I wrote a post about the Burn Notice Saab Sweepstakes. And it’s supposed to announce the winner after Oct 2, 2008. Well, right now it’s already after Oct 2, but there’s no news whatsoever. Well, there’s one way for you to find out if you are the lucky person or not by getting the winner list directly from USA Network. You can do this by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope to to: The Burn Notice Covert Ops Sweepstakes “WINNERS LIST”, P.O. Box 10877, Burbank, CA 91510. It should be received by December 2, 2008. I’ll keep you posted if I hear any news about the update of this sweepstakes. In the meanwhile, keep on praying because they might’ve not chosen the winner yet. 8)
Now, I’m off to watch Chuck, Heroes (maybe or maybe not), and My Own Worst Enemy.
After reading abc’s message boards, I worried a little and wondered if abc will make a new season of the show. ABC President, Steve MacPherson said that if the ratings didn’t improve then we probably wouldn’t see another season of the show. Now that season 5 is over, there is no news about this at all. Fans at abc message board are planning to do more than making video to save the mole, they’re going to send MacPherson lemons with a sad face on it 😯 (Paul drew a face on a lemon in one of the episode). One fan offers a suggested letter that makes other lemon references: “Consider this an avid fan of throwing lemons at you if you don’t renew The Mole for another season. You know what they say when life gives you lemons? You make lemonheads and renew another season of The Mole!”
While researching some more, I found this website: http://molecasting.com/show1.html (UPDATE note: The website is no longer available) for The Mole Casting. I’m not sure if it was for the 5th season or for the new one, abc’s official website has no info about this. I guess they take applications while waiting for green light from abc. Or maybe not, I don’t know.
Another info that I’d like to share about other shows how to participate in Wipeout. They are still open casting, so if you’re interested, visit this site: http://www.mysticartpictures.com/wipeout.htm Other than Wipeout, other people have been asking me about how to play in I survived A Japanese Game Show. To be honest, I have no idea. So far, there is no news on the 2nd season, maybe the producers are still thinking about it. I’ll keep you posted if any news comes up about this game. (UPDATE: They’re casting 2nd season of Japanese Game Show, go check my latest post! 🙂 )Lastly, Hole in the Wall: they have finished casting for the first season. Here’s the official link: http://www.fox.com/hitw.htm
I knew it! My guess was right 8) Craig is the mole. I’ve suspected him since week 5, but I wasn’t completely sure until last week. Well, I still had a little doubt that Nicole might be the mole. Mark? I think he took the game too seriously, and he was the success factor in some of the mission. And he actually won the game, I’m so happy for him, he deserves it. He’s a family man, and he can really use the money. Good for him. Nicole? Well, I think she makes good money with her occupation. So congratulations to Mark for winning the game, and to Craig to be a great Mole, and to Nicole to be the last woman standing. 🙂
So tonight’s show had a little back-to-back recap, reunion, the clues leading to Craig along the way, and of course the big reveal. All the executed players were called back, and moments of shame of those players were shown, again. 😛 In the show it was revealed that Mark had been so lucky few times. The tied and almost executed so many times. But the lady luck saved him a couple of times because she wanted him to win 🙂 The hidden clues were well-hidden, call me unobservant, but I didn’t notice any of them at all. And I haven’t missed a single episode!
I really enjoy this season’s the Mole; it’s been a while since I watch a really smart show. I really want to thank the producers to make such a great show. I really really really hope that they’ll make new season of The Mole. 😀
Craig’s laugh on the beginning of the show sounded a little evilish. Edit note: I was right Craig is The Mole, read here. Nicole, like me, also suspected Craig, whereas Craig suspected Mark. Mark, in the mean time, was still undecided.
The first challenge was hard and confusing at first. They had to defuse a bomb and all clues were scattered all around the room. Without giving any instructions, Jon left the 3 players to solve the mission. Craig found the hidden time zone, and Mark and Nicole got to read the time zone map and wrote it on the board (so one of them could sabotage the mission by reading the wrong number). After getting weird combination of letters, Craig suggested to double check with the map again, which was a handy way to waste time. It turned out that Nicole misread the some of the cities’ time zone. After, partly solving the clue, they ended up with Red + Blue. They could not decide to cut Red and Blue wires or purple one. Craig thought Mark was over-thinking stuff (they had only more than a minute) and stalled the mission. Nicole called Purple, and it was right!
The second and final mission in the game was an invidual mission to race and solve clues upon clues. The first one to finish would have a huge decision to make: to add more money to the pot OR to get a clue about the mole. Craig had the advantage because he learned about the area since he got there, on the other hand, Mark was having a hard time getting to his first destination, but he recovered and picked up his pace. Meanwhile, Nicole did a little crazy dancing and didn’t even complete her task. Nicole had been acting weird (not the first time she did it), but it made me suspect Nicole a little.
So Craig and Mark were neck to neck to their final destination. Mark was a better runner, but he had to run farther (he was going to the wrong direction in the beginning). In the end, Mark won and he decided to take the briefcase, but we didn’t get a peek at all, darn it! 😛 Because Mark took the briefcase, Craig even suspected him to be the mole, because that’s just logical what the mole would do.
Tonight’s quiz had 20 questions instead of the usual 10, and apparently today is not the finale! 😕 No one got executed and the mole will be revealed next week, along with the clues leading to him/her along the way. How the mole sabotaged the mission also would be revealed. The season finale of the mole will air on August 12 at 10 pm EST on abc, don’t miss it! 🙂 Next week is gonna be a great finale, can’t wait.
So who do you think is the Mole? I still believe it’s Craig.
The 2nd mission was very challenging, it involves brain power (they were playing dublet) and physical strength (they were playing paintball). Mark solved the dublet first so he got to be a snipper, so the rest of the players have to run through the obstacle trying not to get shot. Paul, who said he was good in paintball and dublet, was the last one to solve dublet. But Mark never shot anything before, so he missed alot, but in the end, Paul’s the only one who managed to finish the obstacle without getting shot. Luckily, Craig had the exemption card on him, so Mark earned the exemption for tonight.
On the first challenge, the final 4 are paired up. Mark and Paul, Nicole and Craig. Paul and Mark had a better partnership than Nicole and Craig. Both Mark and Paul did some tiny mistakes, but I think they were innocent mistakes. Nicole kept on doing unneeded angling and zooming, and it didn’t do any good for Craig. Well, Craig messed up too by asking Nicole question, and Nicole “accidently” answered. Even though Mark’s main suspect is Nicole, and Paul’s is Craig, the mistakes occured on the first challenges gave them little suspicion towards each other. That didn’t stop them to highly suspect Craig who failed the last part of the mission.
With Mark having the final exemption in the game, the rest of 2 or 3 players (if Mark was the mole) were in chopping block. During the execution, Paul was called first, and he was executed (he was aiming Craig and Nicole during the quiz). So from this point on, I would say that Craig is the mole. Nicole is still a possible mole, but I’m gearing towards Craig. Mark has the least of my suspicion, and if he turns out to be the mole, he’s a really good actor.
Well, I kinda hate living in west coast. Because I couldn’t participate in The Mole’s quiz every week! I think they set the time for eastern time, and the quiz can only be taken at certain time. Well, I can take the quiz, but I won’t have a clue because I haven’t watched the show yet. 😡
Anyways, on this week’s The Mole, the challenges require good memory and math. On the first challenge, the players (divided into 2 teams) have to solve simple clues to take them to places where they have to calculate things and memorize them. This challenge is simple yet not easy due to high brain power required. So just based on this challenge, it’s hard to point out who’s the mole. Paul got their team lost, Clay “the math genius” got math logic jumbled up, Nicole calculated wrong, and Craig lost track of the counting, Mark took his time calculating while they didn’t have much time left. But int the end, with luck, literaly, they got all their answers right.
Second challenge, also deal with good memory and trust. The players had to choose someone to memorize some stuff about their loved ones. If the other person managed to answer 3 out of 5 questions right, he/she would get to spend some time with their loved ones. This challenge, there were some activities that arose minor suspicion, but in the end, all players got to see their loved one, which is nice.
Nicole’s mom gave her suggestion to gave up, and she almost did it too. On the confession video, she said that she’d forfeit after quiz, but she didn’t do it. In the end, Clay was executed, no surprise, I haven’t suspected him at all that much. 😛 So, only 4 players left: Craig, Mark, Paul, and Nicole; all equally and highly capable smart mole.
On other tv show, I missed both Monk and Psych on Friday, but thankfully USA aired the encore the next day. Both shows are as good as ever. Because both shows’ new seasons have been shown a lot of times by USA, there were no surprise on the story. On Monk, he got a new therapist and house (temporarily). Like Monk, I kinda missed Dr. Kroeger too, he’s been on the show for so long. The producer decided to make Dr. Kroegers’ death the same as what’s really happening to the actor, heart attack. On Psych, Shawn’s mother came back, so there are a few minutes of sentimental scenes. But, other than that, it’s as funny as usual. My favorite scene was when Gus dragging Shawn out of his office. That was hillarious. Oh, and on the trailer it showed that Gus decided to quit Psych on text message, but I knew that he’d be back in. Psych won’t be the same without Gus.
Last night, something came up to me about the mole. Maybe the producers want to make a big twist this season, that is by not having a mole at all in the group 😯 I know it sounds crazy, but I think it’s possible that there’s no mole on the group, but the players have no clue.
Edit Note: Nevermind. After logically thought about it, there’s no way that there’s no mole. If there’s no mole, then the quiz will have no answers. 😳
