On Thursday, there were 2 season premier of Burn Notice & The Listener, both at 9 pm. So naturally I chose Burn Notice, but thankfully there was another episode of The Listener, so I got to watch the 2nd episode. I just finished watching the the first episode online (at NBC.com). So far, I can say that I like the listener, the concept is somewhat new. The main character, Toby Logan, has a gift of telephatic ability. He used to think that that gift was a curse, but he found out that he could help other people’s lives, by “stalking their thoughts.” So if you’re interested in watching the first 2 episodes, you can do so at NBC.com/the-listener. For Burn Notice, watch at USANetwork.com
Speaking of Burn Notice, there’s a new sweepstakes and this time the grand prize is a trip to Miami plus Burn Notice set tour. To read more about this sweepstakes, click here.
Yesterday I wrote a post about new season of Burn Notice (June 4, 9 pm EST). Today, I’m going to write another good news related to Burn Notice. It’s a sweepstakes, but this time, the grand prize isn’t a Saab, but a 4-days-3night trip for the winner and a guest to Miami! Moreover, the winner will get round trip tickets and accomodations, and Burn Notice Tour! The Sweepstakes will start on 5/21/09 and end on 8/12/09. And, they’ll also giving out weekly prizes, like Burn Notice Tote, Burn Notice DVD, and some other stuff.
All you have to do, is fill in a form weekly, and then pray 😆 Although, I do like the Saab sweepstakes (because there are games involved), but this one is much simpler and more straight forward. Anyways, here’s the link to enter the sweepstakes. To read more about the sweepstakes, click here for the official rules. Good luck 🙂
Another Summer is coming, and so is 3rd season of Burn Notice! For those of you who don’t know, Burn Notice new season will air on different time this season 9/8 pm EST. So set your alarm clock/calendar reminder and tune in to USA Network, June 4, 2009.
Update: Another good news. Despite the rumor that Burn Notice would not be shot in Miami anymore, they’re staying in Miami. The studio where stars and crews have called home was almost put up for sale, and the show was almost evicted from Miami. But no worries, those people in the officies in South Florida know how much exposure Burn Notice brought to their cities. It’s like a free tourism advertisement. To read more about this news, read here.
After capturing Victor, Michael “interogated” him and he found out that Victor was trying to destroy the organization. Victor was burned and his family was killed, and he eventually found out that Carla killed his family in order to recruit him, so he wanted revenge. He had a file containing Carla’s dirty not-so-little secret. He and Michael were planning to blackmail her to back off while they were hiding in Cuba.
Their plan didn’t go as planned, of course. Carla ambushed them at Victor’s boat. Victor was shot, and Carla tried to talk Michael to be the hero and hand over Victor to her. Since Michael wouldn’t cooperate, Carla was going to blow the boat up, luckily Fiona and Sam got there on time and shot Carla. More people were coming towards the boat and the management, “the big boss,” was coming too. The dying Victor convinced Michael to shot him dead and he could walk out as a hero, by killing Victor and handing over Carla’s file to the management. Since there was no other option, Michael agreed.
Michael got to meet the management, and he was convinced that Michael was a valuable asset. He offered Michael Carla’s position and a raise, but Michael just wanted his life to be normal. The big boss then said that the organization had been protecting him by keeping his enemies away. Michael knew that if he broke the deal with the management, his old enemies could come and haunt him, but he chose his freedom and gonna take his chances. Well, that’s the end of the 2nd season of Burn Notice. We’ll see Michael’s adventure as a “free man” in the season 3. I’m sure that it’s gonna air this summer. I’ll keep an eye when season 3 will premier. 🙂
By the way, if you miss this or previous episodes, you can watch it online at www.usanetwork.com/series/burnnotice/video/fullep or you can also search it on hulu.com.
This week on Burn Notice, shocking news to everyone: Michael had a fiancee. Samantha showed up at Michael’s house asking Michael for help. She was forced by a black market trader to steal a government chips in order to get her son back. Even though, Sam assured Michael that the boy wasn’t his, he still wanted to help her. So they worked together to trick the guy to give up the chip and returned it to where it was so that Sam was safe from FBI, NSA, and many other government agents.
Sam’s showing up stir up some drama for Michael. The other Sam didn’t have any opinion, but Michael’s mom and Fiona weren’t too happy with the fact that Michael never told about being enganged. Anyways, Sam cleared up the situation by saying that it was she that proposed to Michael, and Michael confessed that he left Sam because he was in love with Fiona.
On other thing, Victor contacted Michael and they agreed to meet. Victor only wanted to be friends on his term, they disagreed and Michael knocked him down. Now he has big choices to be made: make Victor his friends on mutual term, or turn Victor in to Carla in exchange for his freedom. I think Michael would choose the first choice, but we shall see what he’ll do next week. Speaking of next week, I believe next week’s episode will be the finale of the 2nd season, so it’s gonna be good. Mark your calendar March 5, 10 pm EST on USA network for the finale.
Just finished watching yesterday’s Burn Notice online, for those of you who wanted to watch it online too, go to www.usanetwork.com/series/burnnotice. I just realized that since it’s back on TV, I haven’t blogged anything about Burn Notice. I used to do it faithfully every week. Well, hopefully I’ll remember to write Burn Notice post every week again from now on.
Anyways, Michael’s side job this week was to help Claude, a father who wanted to seek justice for his daughter. Jean Pierre Duman, the culprit, was a fugitive from Haiti; he lived under an alias in Miami. Michael planned to get the documents from Duman to uncover the truth. The plan didn’t work though, because Duman’s father suspected Michael. Since plan A didn’t work, Mike and friends used plan B, to kidnap Duman. And who could kidnap a spoiled rich guy better than Fiona? The plan worked well, and Duman was shipped back to Haiti to face his trial.
Other than the side job, Michael found out the guy who tried to kill him. It was Victor, the guy who Michael (was forced to work with by Carla. He’s also a burned spy, and their mission was to steal a pimped riffle (episode 206). Victor managed to get away from Michael, but the question remains why? My guess is that Victor doesn’t want Michael around for either of these reasons: a) Michael is too dangerous, and he doesn’t want him to work for Carla. b) Michael is too dangerous, and he doesn’t want to compete with him. I know my guesses are pretty lame, we’ll find out what’s really going on next week 🙂 Don’t forget to watch Burn Notice every Thursday 10 pm EST at USA Network OR you can watch the latest episodes online at usanetwork.com.
Been a litle busy since last weekend. I just had time to catch up with last week’s Burn Notice and Monk. Michael was still in the quest to find the person who wanted him dead, he didn’t get any info, but that guy (whoever he was) was alarmed when Mike was trying to poke around. I also just watched this week’s Chuck, where Chuck and Sarah had to pose as a married couple. Pretty funny, but in the end their relationship got a minor set back. Just in case you wonder where I watch the shows (no I don’t watch them from DVR), I watch them online at the network’s official website: NBC.com and USANetwork.com
On other news, Hulu Award will have official nominees for all categories hopefully by next week. I’ll post the list of all nominees (or perhaps the poll link from polldaddy) so you can vote 🙂 Speaking of polldaddy, I’ve had some ideas for poll on by blog for a while (before wordpress had the feature). Now that they have it, I can’t remember what I wanted to do with the poll 😆
