The last leg of the race of this season took place in Maui, Hawaii. All teams boarded to the same flight to Maui. Then they had to race to beach number 118, and prepared a luau. They had to season a whole pig, and carry it. Margie is so strong, she and Luke surpassed the other two teams who had trouble. Tammy and Cara were struggling carrying the heavy pig; both Victor and Jamie pushed their teammates hard to finish the task. Margie & Luke finished the task first and they went to the next destination.

The next task, they had to jet ski to an area where there are a hundred of red plastic floats on the see, and find their next clue. While Margie & Luke were on their way back, they met up with Tammy & Victor, who were followed by Jamie & Cara, but Jamie & Cara found their clue first, so they became 2nd, but Tammy & Victor catched up with them fast. On their way to their next destination, Tammy & Victor got stuck on the back of a slow jeep, while Jamie & Cara got lost. Again, due to frustration, Jamie took it out on the taxi driver.

Their next task was a road block, one member of the team must find and arrange surf boards that had pictures of their previous tasks. Luke had a great memory, but he got stuck on the last 2 boards, while Victor came and catched up with him. Jamie came last, and in first she had no idea what to do, but she figured it out, while Luke still stuck on the 11th and 12th boards. Finally, Victor finished first, and he and Tammy went to the pitstop to claim their prize. While, Margie suggested Luke to work with Jamie so they finally could finish the task.

So, Tammy & Victor won the race, Jamie & Cara runner up, and Margie & Luke 2nd runner up. The final race was pretty close and tight. I’m glad Tammy & Victor won, I think they’re a strong team, and I’ve been supporting them and Margie & Luke from the beginning.

This week the race was still in China, but this time, in Beijing. All teams got to the same flight to Beijing, but Tammy & Victor had the upper hand of having the front row seats, so they got a head start on Beijing Airport. However, just like last week, their fluency in Mandarin didn’t help when the taxi driver didn’t know the location of the next clue. Jamie & Cara got to the first location followed by Jen & Kisha.

The first task: a road block, a team member had to be foot-massaged, but it’s not any foot massage, but a therapudic one, and it hurt, a lot! They had to withstand 10 minutes of pain or they would have to restart the task. Then, they had to head to notorium. Jamie & Cara and Jen & Kisha who finished 1st and 2nd had trouble finding taxi who knew the location of their next destination. Jen & Kisha finally found a taxi driver who could take them, Jamie & Cara left frustrated. Tammy & Victor catched up, and they talked with a taxi driver in Mandarin, but Jamie & Cara took the cab away, how rude. Fortunately, they didn’t know that they had to go to the south gate so Tammy & Victor got to the notorium first.

Next task, a detour: Sync or Swim. Both siblings team who arrived there first chose Sync because they couldn’t swim; but they were having so much trouble that Jamie & Cara and Margie & Luke who chose Swim finished the task before them. Jen who bailed before attempting first jump, went to Swim with Kisha, but they failed miserably so they switched back to Sync, where Tammy & Victor were still struggling, and in the end, Tammy & Victor then chose to do Swim. Meanwhile, Jen, who was afraid of water, was reaching her breaking point and she broke down. In the end, after Victor & Tammy finished swimming, they chose to do Swim too. Victor’s feet hurt so much that it cost them some time, but they were still ahead from Jen & Kisha

So Jamie & Cara finally got to pitstop first, but, the race wasn’t over! All the teams were so exhausted, and Victor’s feet were cramping, I don’t know what’s going to happen next week, but it’s gonna be good ūüôā

This week’s race was still in Thailand, but they moved to Bangkok, the capital. All teams boarded the same flight to Bangkok, and Margie & Luke led the race since they left the airport. The first task was to go to a boat dock, where one of the team members had to attach¬†propeller for their boat. Margie did the task fast, followed by Jamie. Victor & Tammy who arrived to the dock third, had trouble fixing the propeller, making them the last team to finish the task. However, both Mark & Michael and Jen & Kisha left their baggages on the dock and their taxis. And this cost them a lot of time.

The next task was a detour: Broken Teeth or Broken Record. Only Margie & Luke chose to do the Broken Teeth where they had to find 5 elderlies their matching teeth. While Luke had trouble doing the task, Margie sailed through the task and they completed the task fast. The rest of the teams chose to do the Broken Record where they had to sing Karaoke inside a taxi with 3 local girls. After finishing the road block, the teams headed to the pitstop.

Margie & Luke won this leg, Jamie & Cara second. Kisha & Jen, despite leaving their travel documents, decided to go to pitstop and raced with Tammy & Victor. Kisha & Jen arrived third, but Phil said that they had to fetch their documents before he could check them in, so Tammy & Victor became the 3rd team to check in. Mark & Michael, who also left their baggages at the dock, despite arguing, they decided to get their documents first before doing their detour. So the race for the 4th spot was between the siblings and the stuntmen. Both of them found their taxi drivers still waiting for them, so they got their belongings back.

Mark & Michael arrived at the pitstop before Jen & Kisha arrived, but due to some violation of race rules (they paid their cab with items), they got¬†4 hour penalty. So Jen & Kisha were safe, but so were Mark & Michael. This week wasn’t an elimination leg, but¬†Phil gave them¬†a major bad news, not only they would have a Speed Bump next week, but they would also be penalized on their starting time. So we’ll see if they can overcome those obstacles and stay in the competition next week. From the preview, looks like next week Luke and Jen are going to have a fight

This week’s race was in Thailand, all teams boarded to the same flight to Phuket. Michael & Mark who were last team on the last leg, dashed so fast they led the race. They were given a clue, a picture of a gorilla, which was on Phuket Zoo where they would find their next clue. Only Mel & Mike got lost, their taxi driver drove them to beach so they lost a lot of time.

On the zoo, they had to take a picture with a tiger and perform with an elephant. Then they had to go to a herb store, where they had to guess which 6 of 99 drawers had the next clue. Jamie & Cara went to the herb store first, but they kept on guessing the wrong drawer, they became the last (except Mel & Mike) to finish the task. This challenge really brought up the bad side of the girls. Frustrated, they became a little rude to the old man.

The next leg was a detour: 100 barrels or 2 miles. Mark & Michael and Tammy & Victor chose 2 miles, whereas Jen & Kisha, Margie & Luke, and Jamie & Cara chose 100 barrels. But, because they got lost, Jamie & Cara followed by Margie & Luke switched to 2 miles. Mark & Michael who got there first, tried to slow down the other teams by putting the tools on the box. Then they hired a taxi driver to lead them to their destination. Therefore, even though they arrived to the pitstop first, they were given 60 minutes penalty.

Tammy & Victor and Jamie & Cara were the 2nd and 3rd team to arrive at the pitstop, but they arrived before Mark & Michael’s penalty was over, so they became 1st and 2nd team. Margie & Luke became the 4th team to arrive. Jen & Kisha did the detour slow so that Mel & Mike could catch up with them. So it was a race between them. Jen & Kisha finished first, but at usual, they got lost. In the end, they still managed to arrive at the pitstop first, so Mel & Mike were eliminated.

This week the teams had to fly to Russia. There were 4 flights to Moscow and from there they’d fly to Siberia. However, only 3 teams made it to the first flight to Siberia: Christie & Jodi, Jen & LaKisha, Mark & Michael. The rest of the teams had to wait for the next flight. The teams had to find a dam, and the first 3 teams did the first task without problem.

Then there was a¬† Detour: Stack or Construct. On Stack, they had to stack firewoods, whereas on the Construct they had to assemble a shutter and install it on a house. All of the teams’ first choice was Stack, but once their Stack fell down, some of them decided to do Construct. Mark & Michael was the first team to decide to do Construct, but they couldn’t find the house, so they wasted time while Christie & Jodi, Jen & LaKisha finished stacking. They had a chance to U-Turn a team with blind U-Turn, which meant that no one would know who U-Turned who, but they passed.

The other teams from the 2nd flight arrived at the detour, Mel & Mike and Kris & Amanda were two teams who switched to Construct when their stack crumbled. They met up with Mark & Michael but the missed the house again. On the other hand, Margie & Luke followed by Tammy & Victor finished stacking. Margie & Luke decided to U-Turn Kris & Amanda because they wanted to buy more time for Jamie & Cara.

The next part of the race was a road block, where one of the team members had to go down a bobsled and read 7 letters within 4 minutes, then using those letters they had to name the famous Russian playwright. Most of people had trouble and couldn’t guess it right for several times. Kisha finished first on the bobsled, but she missed the last letter so she had to go again. Christie was¬†next, but she had no clue about the name so she had to keep on guessing, whereas Kisha guessed it right the first try. So Kisha & Jen headed to the pitstop, but they couldn’t find the main entrance, causing Christie & Jodie snatched the first place on this leg of the race.

Meanwhile 3 teams still trying to find the house to install the shutter at, Jamie & Cara finished the stacking and head to the bobsled place. Victor & Tammy finished the bobsled task because Victor knew Chekhov, so he had no trouble spelling his name. On the other hand Luke was frustrated because he had no idea, but eventually he got it. Victor & Tammy was the 3rd team to arrive, followed by Margie & Luke.

Mel finally found the house so he and Mike finished 5th this time, followed by Mark & Michael. Poor Kris & Amanda, they finished last on the detour, and they got U-Turned so they had to do the stacking again, so they were eliminated.

This week on Amazing Race, the teams went to Munich, Germany. There they had to take a sky gondola and one of the member had to “fly” down the hill using parachute. It’s tricky however, because when wind blew hard, they had to wait until it calmed down. All teams but one chose to run/walk down the hill by foot. For Mel, from father-son team, hiking down the hill wasn’t an option because of his old legs, so he had to wait. After all team left, Mel & Mike felt so hopeless, but miracle happened and their team was the¬†5th team finishing the first task.

On the second task, it was road block: Balancing Dolly or Austrian Folly. Tammy & Victor who had lead the race since the beginning won this leg of the race by far. I truly believe their team is very solid and strong (just like Nick & Star from last season), and I actually like them better than Nick & Star because Tammy & Victor aren’t cunning and they’re respectful towards other teams. But from next week’s preview, it seems that they’re gonna have some disagreement. If they can resolve the problem quickly and peacefully, I think their team will go far.

On other sibling team, LaKisha & Jennifer, they already showed their frustration towards each other. They did their tasks okay, but they kept on getting lost which wasted time. In the end, there were 4 teams competing to make it to the pitstop. Because it was dark, it was harder to navigate. Linda & Steve were eliminated tonight; it was a little sad because it was close with Christie & Jodi. But, considering that Linda got lost when hiking down the hill, they did pretty good on the rest of the race.¬†And even¬†if they weren’t eliminated, I don’t think Linda & Steve would go far because they’re competing against teams that have younger members.
