For cartoon and anime lovers, I’m sure you’ll have your opinions on which series you think deserve an award. It might be tough to pick just one, but don’t worry you can nominate more than one. First of all, I’m going to talk about what was on TV on Monday. I came home really late on Monday, so I missed everything that I wanted to watch. Luckily, NBC has all the things that I missed (Chuck and My Own Worst Enemy). I’m so glad that many official TV websites are providing online full episodes of their shows, so for people who don’t have tv or dvr wouldn’t miss a thing.

Anyways, Chuck met his old girlfriend, Jill, who dumped him and hooked up with Bryce. After catching up and doing some “saving the world” action together, they ended up reconsiled their old romance. I don’t think they’re going to last though, I bet Chuck is going to end up with Sarah (she’s way hotter :P). My favorite moment on this episode was when Chuck tried to give antidote mouth-to-mouth to Casey. Casey begged, “I’ve served my country for many years, just let me die in dignity.” 😆

On other show, My Own Worst Enemy, as seen on last episode, Tom’s wife hired a private investigator to follow him, and found out that Tom had another life (Raymond’s life). Poor Tom, not knowing anything about it, his marriage crashed and burned. On the other hand, Henry revealed that he was broken to a watcher (who told him he was an FBI agent). Norah Skinner, Henry’s psychiatrist on AJ Sun rescued him by shooting the watcher. This caused Janus to be aware that there was a broken agent, and Henry/Edward was suspected. But Norah saved Henry/Edward out of the problem by sacrificing another agent Paula/Ellen. Paula/Ellen was then terminated as an agent, Paula memory was erased and she countinued to live as Ellen, non-agent identity. I’m not sure what’s the motive for Norah for saving Edward/Henry, as for now, I think she has a crush on Edward. From next week’s trailer, it looks like Henry’s wife, Angie, might not be a normal civilian either. Hmm… it’s going to be good.

Well, speaking of tv shows, there’s a poll on TVSquad on the best new show this fall: Fringe, The Mentalist, Priviledged, Worst Week, Gary Unmarried, My Own Worst Enemy, 90210, and Eleventh Hour. So far, the first three are the top 3. But people also voted on others (Life on Mars, True Blood, etc). What do you think is the best tv show this season?

I missed the premier of Crusoe last night, I was somewhere else when it started. I got home just in time to watch the last 1 hour, but I don’t like to watch something from the middle. But bless NBC it has the first episode online so I can watch it. If you want to watch it too, visit here: http://www.nbc.com/Crusoe/video/categories/season-1/771041/ I’m pretty sure that it’s on Hulu too.

At first, I was affraid that this show would be just another drama (not drama drama) type of show, but it’s quite entertaining. Good amount of action, adventure, and humor. There are also some flashbacks along the story to tell Crusoe’s background. The storyline is superb; even though I haven’t read the book, I’m sure this series stay true to the book.

So Crusoe is about Crusoe (duh) an English man who’s stranded on an island. Crusoe (Philip Winchester) befriended with Friday (Tongayi Chirisa), a native guy who he had saved from being sacrificed by his own tribe. Since Crusoe  has spent a lot of time in the island (no idea how long he’s been there), he managed to set up a lot of traps, make bridges, a SOS plan, and a tree house with amazing view equiped with its own OJ-making tool.

So the story started when Crusoe spotted a boat with English flag on it. Desperate to get back to his home, he turned on his SOS fire and he ran down to the beach to find his saviors; little did he know that those guys were pirates. So the pirate chased him away and finally caught him and made him their guide to find the treasure. Amongst those pirates, there was a pirate girl who’s really smart but tough.

Friday tried to helped Crusoe, and he ran across a Spanish guards who wanted to capture the pirates. So he led them in exchange that they’d let Crusoe go. The plan worked out really well, and he and Crusoe managed to get away while the Spanish guards cornered and captured those pirates. But when everything seemed to go back to normal and peaceful, they were ambushed again. Apparently, the pirate captain made a deal with the Spanish captain to share the gold in exchange for his freedom.

Crusoe found out about the whereabouts of the gold, it’s actually right under their beloved tree-house. They had to defend themselves by making the treehouse their fortress. The pirate girl snuck in during the night offering to help them, but they rejected the offer. The battle continued until the morning after when the intruders wanted to blow the tree house with dynamite. Luckily with Crusoe’s witty mind, they managed to blow the dynamite before it reached them and defeated the guards and the pirates.

When they went down to check the situation, the found the treasure: it’s a giant vase made of gold. Then Friday realized that the body count didn’t match the number of the intruders, so they went down to the beach and they found the Spanish captain captured the pirate girl and wanted to take her back to mainland. Crusoe told him about the gold but he didn’t believe it so they left. In the end, Crusoe and Friday threw the giant vase to the sea, and they stayed in the island for another day.

I think Crusoe is a great show, and Well, I think the pilot episode itself is worthty of being an independent movie. But, I can’t wait until next week for the next episode to see what new story it will bring. I’m particularly intriqued to see whether Crusoe will take Friday along with him to England once he’s rescued. As much as Crusoe missed his family, he valued Friday’s friendship so much and vice versa. It will be very sad to see Crusoe leaving Friday in the island where he’s a cast away from his tribe. But I don’t think it’s also possible for Friday to live in England, even though his English is good. Did I say that he could speak 6 languages? Well, we shall see what will happen to them.

Vodpod videos no longer available.

I wrote a post about the pilot of My Own Worst Enemy few days ago, but I didn’t have the link for the full video of the first episode. Here it is: http://www.nbc.com/My_Own_Worst_Enemy/video/categories/season-1/568182/ Also, since this show is NBC’s, it’s also available on Hulu.com: http://www.hulu.com/my-own-worst-enemy. I’m pretty sure both sides will upload the 2nd episode after it airs.

For those of you who don’t know what Hulu is, it’s a website owned by NBC universal that has a collection of videos and clips form movies, TV series, and news from FOX, NBC Universal, MGM, Sony Pictures Television, Warner Bros. and more. You can also watch your favorite (ongoing or retired) tv show episodes like: Friends, Family Guy, The Simpsons, and more.

Well, not actually breaking away (I still love watching tv). But I’m thinking that if my TV is broken beyond repair, maybe it’s time to throw it out and cut my cable bill. Thinking about calling my cable company and say I want out makes me grin so wide my cheek hurts. 😆 I’m thinking to just watch TV online, since I’m on broadband anyway (why waste the bandwith I pay, right?)

I’ve been watching online TV a couple of times, usually on the official network websites like abc.com and usanetwork.com. They have full episodes of the shows and the latest ones too – and thankfully my favorite shows are in both networks. But some of the tv websites just don’t even provide online videos, let alone a full episode. So what a man to do if he doesn’t have a tv and cable connection? Find another alternative 😛 Last night, I found one or two great websites that provide links to some shows (some new and some old), which is nice. If anyone interested, just let me know, I’ll be glad to share the links with you. 🙂

Well, as for now, I’m gonna watch yesterday’s Monk and Psych on usanetwork.com 😉
