Summer is drawing near, and that means Summer TV Shows are coming too! I always like summer tv shows because  they’re not heavy on drama, most of them even reality shows (I know i’m a reality-junkie). Anyways, from the information that I can gather so far, here’s the list of Summer TV Shows:

NBC:

  • Kings, new episode returns in June date TBA
  • Merlin, series Premiere Sunday, June 21st 8/7c
  • I’m Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, series Premiere, Monday, June 1st 8/7c
  • America’s Got Talent, series Premier, Tuesday, June 23 8/7c
  • The Philanthropist, series Premiere Wednesday, June 24th 10/9c
  • The Great American Road Trip, series Premiere Tuesday, July 7th 8/7c

ABC:

  • Wipeout, Premieres Wednesday, May 27 8/7c
  • I Survived Japanese Game Show, Premieres Wednesday, July 8 9/8c
  • The Superstar, Premieres Tuesday, June 23 8/7c
  • Dating in the Dark, Premieres Monday, July 20 10/9c
  • The Superstars Premieres Tuesday, June 23 8/7c

FOX:

  • So You Think You Can Dance premiers Thursday, May 21 8/7c

CBS:

  • Big Brother premiers Thursday, July 9 8/7c

So far great line up, for NBC and ABC. Can’t wait for summer. I can’t find any info about new summer shows on CW, I guess they’ll just do reruns.

Old and New

Posted on: May 8, 2009

So there’s no new episode of Howie Do It tonight, so in the mean time, I’m compiling some info to make a post about Summer TV Shows. I’ll probably post it sometime next week. So check back soon, and if you have any information that you’d like me to add to my post, let me know 🙂

On tonight’s Howie Do It, the first prank was really funny. They hired a guy to be a pranker, just to get him pranked 😆 He was supposed to be the worst waiter ever, like Howie did on the first episode the one with the finger on the glass, but this time the table was turned, and Howie became the angry customer. The last prank on the first episode was kinda the “recycled” prank where they held an audition for soap opera where they guy had to kiss an old woman. It was a like an extended edition though, because this time there was Vic who became another guy who auditioned for the role.

The first prank on the 2nd episode was the Pizza Man, where a pizza delivery guy was hired for a role in a Pizza-superhero movie 😆 There was also another “recycled” prank where Howie became a fake fortune teller. He got someone to apologize for something that they would do in the future.

As usual, if you miss these episodes or just want to watch it again, watch it at NBC.com or Hulu.com

There are two new Howie Do It episodes tonight. The first episode was Law & Order style. The first prank was a guy was “framed” to be a murderer. He happened to wear a bunny suit, just like the killer. Poor guy was drilled by Vic Cohen to confess 😆 The other prank that I like on that episode was a guy was going to be on a new Judge show, where he had to decide who deserved to get a heart donation: a teacher who’s relative to the donor or a “pending” criminal who was a smoker, but was on the recipient list for 4 years.

Race in ??

I missed tonight’s Amazing Race 😦 I forgot to change the clock on my car so I didn’t realize that I was running late on my way home. Well, I’ll update this post with the recap of the episode once it’s available to watch online 🙂

So, Monk, Burn Notice, Psych, and Eureka are currently on midseason break and will be back sometime early next year. Also, some Japanese games can be very harsh for some people. But for the Japanese, the games are fun and made to make people laugh, and that’s all they care about.

The famous “spank-for-laughing” game: the Batsu (Punishment) Games.
The best-known video is the english-lesson video part of the season 3 where the guys had to spend a day in high school:

The graduation day – more spanking!

Hillarious, even the spankers can’t help laughing.

There are 5 seasons of the No Laughing game:
No-Laughing Hot Spring Inn (2003)
No Laughing in Yugawara (2004)
No-Laughing High School (2005)
No-Laughing Police Station (2006)
No-Laughing Hospital (2007)

The group is called Gaki no Tsukai. To watch all videos with English sub, click here. He has all 13 video of Gaki No Tsukai Onsen Batsu 1.

There’s another recently well-known game played by Gaki no Tsukai, the Silent Library Game. So much for the name, the game isn’t silent at all even though they are trying so hard. It’s really funny!

Part 2:

No sub for these videos, but there aren’t much talking.

Part three:

Again, as always, there’s some other version, like this one by Binghamton University students:

The ones below are pretty extreme. Yes, they are funny, but I don’t quite get it, a little bit out of the line IMO.

This one is simply OUCH:

So FOX is going to air their version of Human Tetris this coming September (I’ll keep you posted on the exact date of the season premier). If you don’t know what Human Tetris is, check this video out.

For those of you who cannot wait until FOX air Hole in the Wall, you can catch the Ellen Degeneres’ version of it “Thru the Wall of Take a Fall”:

Human Tetris is game show invented by Japanese (duh) and become a big hit like Takeshi Castle so that many countries make their own version of the game.

On her show, Ellen sometimes play another japanese game show, the “Marshmallow” game. Well, she’s not actually playing the game, it’s some women from the audience who play.

It’s just hilarious, I never knew human face can be that distorter. 😆

The Japanese version:

This marshmallow game also has affected everyone. And because the game is fairly simple and easy to play, people can play it at home too, like this video below:

Even by kids:

Craig’s laugh on the beginning of the show sounded a little evilish. Edit note: I was right Craig is The Mole, read here. Nicole, like me, also suspected Craig, whereas Craig suspected Mark. Mark, in the mean time, was still undecided.

The first challenge was hard and confusing at first. They had to defuse a bomb and all clues were scattered all around the room. Without giving any instructions, Jon left the 3 players to solve the mission. Craig found the hidden time zone, and Mark and Nicole got to read the time zone map and wrote it on the board (so one of them could sabotage the mission by reading the wrong number). After getting weird combination of letters, Craig suggested to double check with the map again, which was a handy way to waste time. It turned out that Nicole misread the some of the cities’ time zone. After, partly solving the clue, they ended up with Red + Blue. They could not decide to cut Red and Blue wires or purple one. Craig thought Mark was over-thinking stuff (they had only more than a minute) and stalled the mission. Nicole called Purple, and it was right!

The second and final mission in the game was an invidual mission to race and solve clues upon clues. The first one to finish would have a huge decision to make: to add more money to the pot OR to get a clue about the mole. Craig had the advantage because he learned about the area since he got there, on the other hand, Mark was having a hard time getting to his first destination, but he recovered and picked up his pace. Meanwhile, Nicole did a little crazy dancing and didn’t even complete her task. Nicole had been acting weird (not the first time she did it), but it made me suspect Nicole a little.

So Craig and Mark were neck to neck to their final destination. Mark was a better runner, but he had to run farther (he was going to the wrong direction in the beginning). In the end, Mark won and he decided to take the briefcase, but we didn’t get a peek at all, darn it! 😛 Because Mark took the briefcase, Craig even suspected him to be the mole, because that’s just logical what the mole would do.

Tonight’s quiz had 20 questions instead of the usual 10, and apparently today is not the finale! 😕 No one got executed and the mole will be revealed next week, along with the clues leading to him/her along the way. How the mole sabotaged the mission also would be revealed. The season finale of the mole will air on August 12 at 10 pm EST on abc, don’t miss it! 🙂 Next week is gonna be a great finale, can’t wait.

So who do you think is the Mole? I still believe it’s Craig.

I found this website during my blog hopping. It’s sort of a test of how fast you can type fast accurately. And here’s my result:

65 words

Speed test

65 WPM, not bad huh? I guess I have to thank my boss because of the workload he gave me, I was able to train my typing skill 😛

Additional note: Hmm, the code that I pasted for the result didn’t quite come out as it should be. There should be a white box with “65 words” on it, and when you click on it, you’ll go to the typing test page. But anyway, test your typing skill and let me know the results 🙂
