For The Apprentice fans, good news! All new season of Celebrity Apprentice is back on NBC. It will premier on Sunday, March 1, 2009 at 9 pm EST, so mark your calendar. I can’t wait to see the celebrities (I use the term loosely) being asked to work and bossed around by Trump. I hope there won’t be too much drama, but who am I kidding 😆

Anyway, here’s the list of celebrities that will be on the show:

The men: Clint Black, Andrew Dice Clay, Tom Green, Scott Hamilton, Jesse James, Brian McKnight, Dennis Rodman, and Herschel Walker.

The women: Annie Duke, Natalie Gulbis, Claudia Jordan, Khloe Kardashian, Joan Rivers, Melissa Rivers, Brande Roderick and Tionne Watkins.

Tonight on  Crusoe,  the story doesn’t make much sense if you think about it, but if you aren’t too critical, the story is pretty good. The pirate captain who were supposed to be dead (from 1st episode) was actually alive and became a little loony. He found Crusoe and Friday who were trying to raise a flag to attract rescue ship. He chased them out and attacked them on their tree house with a toxic bomb. Crusoe fell down and the loony captain captured Friday to be his slave. He claimed to be the king of the island and wanted to build an island.

Crusoe, led by his hallucination (he was hallucinating that Suzanna, his wife) to go to the cave where the crazy captain lived. Friday found him and gave him the antidote for the toxin. But later the crazy captain found Crusoe still alive and sentenced Crusoe to be hung until death. Once they found opening, Crusoe and Friday attacked that crazy captain, and in the end the crazy captain died from gun powder explosion on his “throne room.”

It’s pretty nice to see Crusoe reunited with his wife, even though it’s only hallucination. In the end of the episode, they also showed that his wife was still waiting for Crusoe back in England. Three more episode and Crusoe is back to England. Don’t forget next week’s episode! 🙂

Good luck and Hai~Majide!!

If you’ve watched Superbad, you’ll remember Michael Cera’s McLovin character. That character launched Cera’s acting career. Well, for you youngsters who wants to be the next McLovin, here’s your chance. Universal Pictures is looking for a McLovin type of guy for a new comedy starring Meryl Streep, Alec Baldwin, and Steve Martin. No prior acting experience is necessary, but you need to be able to channel McLovin to play Edward, a 17 year old high school student. Open auditions are over already but you can still submit your audition videos online at: http://www.meganlarchecasting.com/submissions.html Deadline for this audition is January 16, 2009.

So I tuned in to NBC at 10 pm EST because it was a habit (of watching My Own Worst Enemy) and there was a new “looking-for-love” type of show: Momma’s Boy. This one is quite funny tho, and not too much cat-fight and bitching (because the mothers are staying with the girls). There are 3 guys who claim that they are momma’s boys and they bring along their moms to find their love. But as always, to add the excitement, the boys’ choices are not mom’s choices.

Another drama: one of the mother is a racist to the core. She doesn’t want any color-skinned girl for his boy. I cannot believe it that such human still exist. I don’t know if she’s just hired by the producers to act like that to add spice to the show or what, but darn she makes herself a good villain. She wants her daugher in law to be white,  catholic, and do whatever she says; it’s insanity. Go marry your own son!  😛 The other moms are okay, but of course, they’re not happy with their sons’ choices. One of the mom is already in love with a girl and keeps on pushing the girl to his son 😆

Anyways, I don’t really watch the whole full hour of the show because I keep on switching the channels. Not sure if I’m going to watch it again; I might if I really don’t have anything to do. But I’m sure this show appeals to broad audience. If you’re interested in watching it, go to NBC.com, I’m sure that they have the first few episodes of the show uploaded there.

Last month I wrote a post listing TV schedule of winter ’09 for some major networks – ABC, NBC, CW, FOX, and CBS. If you are curious when your favorite TV shows are coming back, and when the new shows start airing, click here for the complete list. I’m making my schedule to watch some old favorites: Reaper, Chuck, Amazing Race, 24, Supernatural, but I also try to squeeze in some new shows.

But I’m not forgetting my other fave shows on other channels: Monk, Psych, Burn Notice (all in USA Network), Eureka, and Chase (on Scifi Channel). Monk will return on Friday, January 9 at its usual time 9 pm EST, followed by all new Psych at 10 pm EST. Burn Notice will return on Thursday, January 22 at 10 pm EST. For Chase and Eureka, I haven’t found any info on when the new episodes will be aired. I’ll keep you posted on this. If you have other shows you would like to find out when it’s coming back, just leave a comment, and I”ll try to find out the info for you.

Update: Eureka will return to SciFi channel on Summer 2009. Yes, I know I’m dissapointed too that I have to wait 5 more months (8 months total!) for the show to see Chief Carter again, but hey at least it’s a confirmation that the show isn’t cancelled 🙂 So…there will be a new face on GD, click here to watch the sneak peek preview of the 2nd half of the 3rd season of Eureka. Speaking of Burn Notice, I still haven’t got an official answer from USA Network about the Saab winner, nor I could find any information on the USA Network website. The burnnoticeops.com website is also down. I believe the winner has been contacted but USA Network hasn’t released the list of winners. I’m not sure, if you have any information regarding this sweepstakes, please let me know so I can forward it to others who are as anxious as I am.

Other shows starting this week: Superstars of Dance, a new dancing show on NBC. I’m not really a big fan of Dancing w/ the Stars or So You Think You Can Dance, but I think this new show will be interesting because they will be showing dance styles from around the world, not the usual samba, cha-cha, etc. If you’re interested in watching it, tune in to NBC this Sunday at 9 pm EST.

There’s a new show on CW called 13 Fear is Real. The contestants are sent into woods to play a game, not knowing that they are the game created by the “mastermind” of terror. He’s going to scare the players psychologically and also make the players concert against each others. I think it’s similar to Chase (read about it here), but instead of being chased by hunters, in this show, the players are chased by fright and paranoia. However, different from Chase, all the 13 players will play for the whole season, and each week one of them will be sent home. The last player standing in the end of the season will win $66,666.

This show will premier on Wednesday, Jan 7 at 8 pm EST (CW channel). I’m going to give this show a shot, since I don’t have anything to watch on Wednesdays anyways.
