So FOX is going to air their version of Human Tetris this coming September (I’ll keep you posted on the exact date of the season premier). If you don’t know what Human Tetris is, check this video out.

For those of you who cannot wait until FOX air Hole in the Wall, you can catch the Ellen Degeneres’ version of it “Thru the Wall of Take a Fall”:

Human Tetris is game show invented by Japanese (duh) and become a big hit like Takeshi Castle so that many countries make their own version of the game.

On her show, Ellen sometimes play another japanese game show, the “Marshmallow” game. Well, she’s not actually playing the game, it’s some women from the audience who play.

It’s just hilarious, I never knew human face can be that distorter. 😆

The Japanese version:

This marshmallow game also has affected everyone. And because the game is fairly simple and easy to play, people can play it at home too, like this video below:

Even by kids:

After reading abc’s message boards, I worried a little and wondered if abc will make a new season of the show. ABC President, Steve MacPherson said that if the ratings didn’t improve then we probably wouldn’t see another season of the show. Now that season 5 is over, there is no news about this at all. Fans at abc message board are planning to do more than making video to save the mole, they’re going to send MacPherson lemons with a sad face on it 😯 (Paul drew a face on a lemon in one of the episode). One fan offers a suggested letter that makes other lemon references: “Consider this an avid fan of throwing lemons at you if you don’t renew The Mole for another season. You know what they say when life gives you lemons? You make lemonheads and renew another season of The Mole!”

While researching some more, I found this website: http://molecasting.com/show1.html (UPDATE note: The website is no longer available) for The Mole Casting. I’m not sure if it was for the 5th season or for the new one, abc’s official website has no info about this. I guess they take applications while waiting for green light from abc. Or maybe not, I don’t know.

Another info that I’d like to share about other shows how to participate in Wipeout. They are still open casting, so if you’re interested, visit this site: http://www.mysticartpictures.com/wipeout.htm Other than Wipeout, other people have been asking me about how to play in I survived A Japanese Game Show. To be honest, I have no idea. So far, there is no news on the 2nd season, maybe the producers are still thinking about it. I’ll keep you posted if any news comes up about this game. (UPDATE: They’re casting 2nd season of Japanese Game Show, go check my latest post! 🙂 )Lastly, Hole in the Wall: they have finished casting for the first season. Here’s the official link: http://www.fox.com/hitw.htm

I knew it! My guess was right 8) Craig is the mole. I’ve suspected him since week 5, but I wasn’t completely sure until last week. Well, I still had a little doubt that Nicole might be the mole. Mark? I think he took the game too seriously, and he was the success factor in some of the mission. And he actually won the game, I’m so happy for him, he deserves it. He’s a family man, and he can really use the money. Good for him. Nicole? Well, I think she makes good money with her occupation. So congratulations to Mark for winning the game, and to Craig to be a great Mole, and to Nicole to be the last woman standing. 🙂

So tonight’s show had a little back-to-back recap, reunion, the clues leading to Craig along the way, and of course the big reveal. All the executed players were called back, and moments of shame of those players were shown, again. 😛 In the show it was revealed that Mark had been so lucky few times. The tied and almost executed so many times. But the lady luck saved him a couple of times because she wanted him to win 🙂 The hidden clues were well-hidden, call me unobservant, but I didn’t notice any of them at all. And I haven’t missed a single episode!

I really enjoy this season’s the Mole; it’s been a while since I watch a really smart show. I really want to thank the producers to make such a great show. I really really really hope that they’ll make new season of The Mole. 😀

Well, technically it has started few hours ago, but since I just finished watching the ceremony, it’s officially started now for me 😛 I missed the first 1.5 hour (so I missed the ancient China part and many beautiful chinese girls dancing 😦 ). Anyway, from the portion that I saw, the ceremony was breath-takingly superb. They really take full advantage of the stadium (that’s specially designed for this event), the lightning, the customs, and the performers to make a great show.

Just a side note, from the number of fireworks used in the ceremony, it’s no wonder that the city is full of smog. I mean seriously, fireworks are bad for atmosphere and toxic to living being. And when used excessively, the danger multiples. Yes, I know they are pretty and spectacular, but they are a threat to the environment. 🙄 I’m not an environmental activist, but I am aware and have some knowledge about what is bad for our planet.

Okay, I’ll rest my case about fireworks now. So back to the topic: the Olympic Games 2008 has officially started! 🙂 Let the games begin and may the best players win! 😀

Just finished watching online 5th episode of Burn Notice (aired last night). Michael found out Carla’s little hideout and planned to get more information. From the “simple” surveillance camera that Michael implanted, Sam figured out a loophole on the security system – an opportunity for Michael to sneak in. So they went, but when Michael was just few steps away from the building, he got a call for his side job so he had to bail. I knew that he’d lost his chance, and he did. The second time, he got in, but Carla already left a present for him, a video message with him on it, a Champagne, crossword message, and some files (I assume it’s a new job OR Carla’s surveillance showing Michael’s activities or something). I wonder why Michael never use a disguise. I know he won’t look cool anymore, but disguising is part of spy work, isn’t it?

Michael’s side job this week is to help Trevor to get him out of a robbery job. He wanted to bail from the job because he promised his son he wouldn’t be doing it anymore, but he couldn’t run out of town because he was on parole. The scheme that Michael developed for this job was very good and smooth, I really like the this week’s story.

Anyway, Olympic’s opening ceremony will be on NBC 7:30 pm EST. The event actually already started this morning in China, there are some amazing pictures of it on msn.com. So I went to youtube to see if anyone uploaded it already, and someone did, but the video was removed saying “This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by a third party.” I can understand NBC want to protect their rights of showing the ceremony exclusively in US tonight, but I hope (crossing my finger) after they finish airing it, they’ll let the video on Youtube for people who miss it on TV and don’t have DVR.

So Olympic starts tomorrow, at 8.8.08 exactly at 8:08 pm Beijing time. I really want to watch the opening ceremony, but I don’t think I’ll be able to watch it from the start because I’m gonna get home late tomorrow. 😦 I highly doubt that it’s going to be shown again, so I’m putting my fingers crossed for nice people out there who will record and upload it on youtube. 😛

Anyways, just watched Monk season 7 episode 3 on usanetwork. It’s kinda weird to me because it aired last friday with Psych, and Psych’s new episode was available online the next day (Saturday), but Monk’s wasn’t until today (the last time I checked was Monday, still wasn’t there). Tomorrow, I am going to watch tonight’s Burn Notice, let’s hope it’s not going to be late like Monk.

In this finale, the players competed individually, no more green monkey or yellow penguin. And every challenge was an elimination challenge, the player with the lowest score or longest time would have to say sayonara to $250,000.

So in the first challenge, the final four was set to free out of Toho Studio. For the first time, they had a game outdoor. The had to complete 5 tasks: getting someone to draw moustache on their face, getting a local to kiss them and getting the picture taken, getting someone to dress as liberty statue, getting a business card, and finally finding 3 people to do the wave. With their limited Japanese, they seemed to have trouble asking people for a favor (the locals thought they were selling something).

Donnell got kissed by a grandma, and Justin got kissed by a dude. Donnell was so desperate when asking people. In the end, Meagan was the winner of the first challenge, her good looks made the challenges easier for her. Belinda finished last, so she was the first one to go bye-bye.

After completing the first challenge, the winners: Justin, Donnell, and Meaghan got a treat. Their loved ones came to the studio and they got to spend time with them (for few minutes) before the next challenge started. On the second challenge, they had to wear sumo sponge suit, and they had to transfer as much water as possible with that suit while getting through an obstacle course. This challenge requires a good amount of strength, so Meaghan was in disadvantage. And, the last girl standing lost, good job Meaghan. So the winner was between Donnell and Justin.

On the final showdown between Donnell and Justin, they had all the old challenges combined: spinning chair, tricycle, egg popping, sticky wall, mochi, and the fake doors. If Meaghan had made it to this round, I seriously doubt she would win, the sticky wall part really required strong arms and it wouldn’t be fair for her to compete against Justin or Donnell. Justin and Donnell were almost always neck to neck all the time, but Justin got a little head start, and in the end he won. So Congratulations Justin! 🙂 But don’t spend all that money to buy your girlfiend jewelry (not that it’s wrong) but at least save some of them for future. I feel bad for Donnell, he’s a good competitior and he had a good heart to accept his defeat. Congrats to you both.

I highly doubt they will make 2nd season because it won’t be as huge as this one (but I’m secretly hoping otherwise). But, I would love to watch another show like this in the future. Heh, who am I kidding? I’ll be on it! Until then, sayonara! 8)
