In this finale, the players competed individually, no more green monkey or yellow penguin. And every challenge was an elimination challenge, the player with the lowest score or longest time would have to say sayonara to $250,000.
So in the first challenge, the final four was set to free out of Toho Studio. For the first time, they had a game outdoor. The had to complete 5 tasks: getting someone to draw moustache on their face, getting a local to kiss them and getting the picture taken, getting someone to dress as liberty statue, getting a business card, and finally finding 3 people to do the wave. With their limited Japanese, they seemed to have trouble asking people for a favor (the locals thought they were selling something).
Donnell got kissed by a grandma, and Justin got kissed by a dude. Donnell was so desperate when asking people. In the end, Meagan was the winner of the first challenge, her good looks made the challenges easier for her. Belinda finished last, so she was the first one to go bye-bye.
After completing the first challenge, the winners: Justin, Donnell, and Meaghan got a treat. Their loved ones came to the studio and they got to spend time with them (for few minutes) before the next challenge started. On the second challenge, they had to wear sumo sponge suit, and they had to transfer as much water as possible with that suit while getting through an obstacle course. This challenge requires a good amount of strength, so Meaghan was in disadvantage. And, the last girl standing lost, good job Meaghan. So the winner was between Donnell and Justin.
On the final showdown between Donnell and Justin, they had all the old challenges combined: spinning chair, tricycle, egg popping, sticky wall, mochi, and the fake doors. If Meaghan had made it to this round, I seriously doubt she would win, the sticky wall part really required strong arms and it wouldn’t be fair for her to compete against Justin or Donnell. Justin and Donnell were almost always neck to neck all the time, but Justin got a little head start, and in the end he won. So Congratulations Justin!
But don’t spend all that money to buy your girlfiend jewelry (not that it’s wrong) but at least save some of them for future. I feel bad for Donnell, he’s a good competitior and he had a good heart to accept his defeat. Congrats to you both.
I highly doubt they will make 2nd season because it won’t be as huge as this one (but I’m secretly hoping otherwise). But, I would love to watch another show like this in the future. Heh, who am I kidding? I’ll be on it! Until then, sayonara!
[...] Right now, it’s Japanese Game Show. In this finale, the players competed individually, no more green monkey or yellow penguin. And every challenge was an elimination challenge, the player with the lowest score or longest time would have to say sayonara to $250,000. I’ll write another post about this final episode once it’s finished. Yes, I’m still watching it because I live in west coast Nvm, just finished writing my post about Japanese Game Show Finale. [...]
Your blog is interesting!
Keep up the good work!

I saw on site that someone said Hole In The Wall is casting for the next season of Majide. Do you know what that company is and where? My husband would love to try out.
Please e-mail me.
